What I look like in my friend's clothes - a fun experiment!
Yesterday I reflected on my personal fashion and why I believe my dress don't need to be figure flattering (all the time).
However, both Suzanne and Anja were really keen to run into how those kind of wearing apparel would expect on me. Suzanne actually liked the swapping of dress experiment that I did before with Anja wearing my clothes, and she felt it was time for me to try on her's.
The perfect opportunity arose when we had a bit of a crazy and fun forenoon where all 4 of us were dressing up in crazy clothes. That's what you get when you put 4 bloggers together in one room! I particularly similar this glamour photograph from Suzanne.
Or how about these funny ones from Suzanne and Greetje.
Only to come across me in Anja'southward clothes was serious stuff, and so no wigs or funny hats.
Of import questions needed to exist answered.
- Would I look better in Anja'due south dress?
- And how would these wearing apparel brand me feel?
Wait #1
First upwards was this wearing apparel.
I liked the colors and graphics of this wearing apparel but institute the V-neck too low. I would not experience comfortable in this clothes except on a beach or mayhap a night club.
In a normal situation I like to be a bit more covered up.
The dress is very trunk hugging and it shows every shape of my torso. The girls may like it, merely me not and so much. I feel similar I have to keep my tummy in a all the time, that I need a button-up bra and safety pins to go along the 5-neck in shape and covering the bust!
Nevertheless I concede that from this angle the dress looks pretty proficient.
Look #two
The side by side wait was the light-green skirt with the animal print top.
I felt amend in this look as the skirt is genu tiptop and the height covered upward a chip more. However, looking at the picture at present, I don't like this look at all.
This kind of animal impress acme is really non for me. Certainly not when it is combined with a shimmering satin brim. I actually feel that y'all need a chip more bearing of skin here. Cervix could be deeper or arms could be bare.
Another alternative is to add together a jacket so that the top does non await and so severe and overpowering.
Ultimately tight printed tops are actually not my thing. I want an interesting design element. I want them loser. And I want a natural fabric preferably without a print.
Expect #3
The third look seemed to be more up my alley. I think the proportions of this await are adept. The belt emphasises the waist and the V-neck works well with the genu-high skirt.
Still it's not something I would wearable myself. I think this await makes me look onetime and am non a huge fan of the colors on me. Again the V-cervix is way as well deep for me!
Look #4
I call back I felt the best in look iv. This outfit had a bit more structure with the added peplum than the others and it strikes the right balance betwixt revealing skin and being covered upwardly. Showing a lot of leg is countered by not showing any cleavage.
I remember this dress looks bully on my body.
Still, I could not clothing it. In that location is simply also much happening in the pattern and I just don't like to vesture flowers all-over.
Look #5
Expect no.5 was a greenish printed wearing apparel.
Again this deep V-neck I don't similar. There is too much all-over pattern and the overall design does not inspire me.
However, the last apparel was the perfect outfit to accept a niggling fun with and create a few Marilyn Monroe moments….
I also think it looks better with the pink wig….
Phew, that is enough dancing for at present. Time for a interruption and exchange smiley looks with Greetje.
And to top it all off: a group photograph! Cheers!
In conclusion, every bit I mentioned yesterday, style is and then personal. Even though Anja'south apparel all fit me, they don't feel like ME. I want more structure in my apparel, more natural materials, more than asymmetry, no deep 5-necks and non then much print.
This whole exercize has further confirmed my own personal style and I'm just going to stick to doing my ain thing!
Although swapping wearing apparel with your friends tin can work for some, y'all practise take to take like styles. Anja'southward and my style are near complete opposites so it really does not work, but it was a fun experiment however.
What exercise y'all think? Do you like me in Anja'due south clothes?
